[Adopt a Greyhound]

Hi,
Just wondering about hungry bees. If I leave my kale in until it flowers, will the bees make use of it? I don't plant much outside that flowers and feel a bit guilty. Thanks.

Just did a quick google and looked in some of my gardening books.
Kale plants are listed on garden plants that bees love.

I do the same with my purple sprouting broccoli and the bees love it!

Anything in the brassica family that bolts and flowers is a bee magnet.  Kale, PSB, mustard greens, oriental greens - they love all of them.

The little yellow flowers are quite pretty as well.  Only small in themselves, but usually grouped into a flower head that does stand out

I always leave my brassicas to flower for the bees.
