Title: Newbie trying to help a newbie

As the title suggests I'm in my first year on a plot and mate is getting two raised beds at a different allotment. He's asked for my help as what he can plant now. With it being late I'm not sure. Can you good people tell me so I can let him know. It'll look like I'm clever lol
