I just wait until my hubbie is in the middle of harvest, and therefore not at home other than to eat dinner then fall asleep, and wait and see how long it is before he notices.

It took him 3 weeks to realise I had a pair of rabbits one year!

I must say that is a rather cynical line to take! Hubby normally enjoys me taking advantage of him. He wouldn't drink otherwise.

Pssst Jinty1911, we haven't been on holiday yet. He has yet to suggest, nay demand, that we get more chooks. I mean, It'll only be a total of 9. Hardly any when you think about it! If my girls got lonely how could I sleep t night?

I'm sure I read somewhere that keeping odd numbers of chickens is cruel (

) so probably best that you get some more, say 20 in total which is a nice round number...
