I have had a really poor crop of strawberries.

I had to move my strawberries to weed out the couch grass and they seem to have got the hump.  They have produced about 30 strawberries fromk over 40 plants.  They have sent out lots of runners so maybe next year will be better.
Time waits for no man and I can't wait for growth.

You can't move strawberries during the fruiting season and expect to get a crop. Weeding is best done after cropping when you also trim off old leaves and feed the plants. Oddly, some of my biggest and tastiest fruit come from weedy areas in my garden.

im going to move my strawberry's as soon  as i have potted up the runners and it cools off towards the end of the season , ive not had a bad crop from them although they wasn't the biggest specimens on our plot
when im with my 9yr old she's the sensible one
