I've been away from this site for a while as we moved, meaning we had to rehome all our poultry but we still had our beloved German Shepherd Roxy. Unfortunately, 4 weeks ago we had to have Roxy put to sleep as she couldn't stand up one morning, she was nearly 11. :(
We are devastated but we always knew we would get another dog, so I'd like to introduce Kira. She is a 3 week old German Shepherd and we've only got 4 weeks till we bring her home, I can't wait! :D

Welcome back Honeysuckle.
Sorry to hear the news about Roxy, it must be really difficult for you and your family. Hang on to all those lovely memories you have of her.
I bet it feels like time is standing still waiting 4 weeks until you can bring Kira home. Don't forget we will want to see loads of cute pictures. ;)

What a sweety pie!
As for poor Roxy, she's gone to where all good dogs go. Keep the good memories to get you through.

So sorry about Roxy, but glad you have the arrival of a new puppy to look forward to. Kira looks very cute!

Kira is super cute!

Oh she's a little beauty :) Your old dog of course is still in your thoughts and your heart and always will be, that's natural. You look back and think of her with fond, happy memories :) Now you have your new baby to keep you fit and well with all those lovely walks you'll be sharing together
I used to have a GSD x lab. Gosh they do shed! :D A chap near me takes his grooming brush out with him and does the dogs grooming when they sit down for a break in their walk :) Hair blowing around like huge tumbleweeds :D

She is lovely - what a butterball!!
(Makes me go into Mariah Carey mode! Aaahh lovely puppies! Apparently her "rider" required baskets of kittens and puppies to be put in her dressing room before a gig. Very cute but I bet the noise and smell of pee/poop was something!! )

I've had an update from the breeder today to say Kira is still the heaviest in the litter and she loves her food, she's coming to the right household then!
