Title: Could you identify the birds for me please?
Post by: OurAllotment on November 22, 2020, 16:09
Our wildlife camera has been busy, lots of black birds the occasional magpie or robin, Shows that all the birds are loving the pond we put in, but we are thinking that 355 to 357 is a woodpecker. Could you help us identify them? Thank you.

Yes a male Chaffinch. Plus I think ( I have enlarged) I can detect a spot of red colour on the head just above the upper bill of the woodpecker species?? Which would identify a male Great Spotted Woodpecker.
