Too many runner beans

Too many runner beans

I was wondering if I can blanch and freeze runner beans?? Ive been given and cant see me getting through all of them but dont want to compost them.

we have put 35 lbs of various beans into our freezers so far, so yes you can.

Awesome  :)

Must get some more ice cubes made up, that will be my sunday morning planned.  Didnt know i could freeze quite so many types of veg.  Ive been collecting jars expecting to pickle or make chutneys.

Have a look along the freezers next time you are in a large supermarket. They freeze almost anything either straight, mixed, diced, bits of cauli coated in cheese sauce ready to put in the microwave, stir fry, diced onion, pepper, tomato, cabbage. Little blocks of ginger, chilli and garlic, pots of herbs..................................

No, I don't buy them, only peas. I just happen to work in a supermarket. :D

Runner beans are now frozen :-) 
Yup I have noticed the ever increasing  range in supermarkets :-) just wasn't sure of the ifs and hows but thanks.

Any1 know why kale can't be frozen?
