Title: good crop of potatoes but only 1 runner bean ?

just thgought you might like to know that I have a good crop of maris piper and aaran pilot potatoes. They seem to have grown well despite  the wet weather. Delicious too ! far better than anytyhing bought in the shops. :lol:

excellent crop of broad beans too.

My runner beans are still in flower expect for one bean which is about a foot long - very strange ?

You have 1 large pod ? then I would take it off, the more you pick the more you get  :wink:

And yes your right home grown spuds are far better than anything you can buy  :D

once the flowers have died - i wait two weeks and then dig up one to see what they are like. usually they are about the size of new potatoes you buy in the shops but this year they are much bigger.
