Just wondering if there is enough time left this year for them to flower if I sow some now.

I'd say it's probably a bit late now, at least up here.

They are great plants though, I've been using them in my bedding for a couple of years now.

The ones below were sown in March in a cold greenhouse, and look about ready to start flowering.

I have  few giants sown months ago dotted around the garden and the allotment as always. Not entered in the competition though. Perhaps I should, there's a couple of real pretty ones developing.

I have also bunged in the last lot of saved seed from last year's biggest head only a fortnight ago. They're up and going mad. I reckon it's worth a pop, especially for the smaller varieties like yours. It is late, yes, but if it's a good Summer and a favourable spot where you are, they might just manage to do their thing.
