5 weeks old but what sex?
« on: November 14, 2010, 11:22 »
Hi,
I have 3 chicks, all 5 weeks old, and have no idea what sex they are.
Two are golden brahma bantams, they have fully formed wings, large stubby tails and are VERY noisy!

The other is a black brahma LF, and is now getting bigger than the other two chicks.
(s)he has lots of feathering, all over but not the breast, and is very docile.  has no tail, only a tiny stump.

If anyone has any idea, please say!  I will try and put up some recent pictures-will go and take some now!

Thanks,

thanks so much! I've read so much about tail length, their legs and all sorts, but I really dont know!  so do you have any idea what the Black Brahma is?  thanks do much for the info on the golden (or rather Lemon pyle) bantams-nice to know they should be pullets!

The black look like a cockerel I'm afraid but another fantastic colour to have as you don't see that many of them around either.  ;)

Great thanks, nice to know.  my mum said she wasnt going to keep them if they were cockrels, but she loves henry so much she could never let him go.  I'm glad because he is so sweet!  Will love having them, thanks so much for your help  Kelloggs!
