What is this tree?

Just want to check this is what I think it is...

It looks very much like a Firethorn (Pyracantha) to me....does it have vicious thorns?

It has masses of wonderful red/orange/yellow (depending on variety) berries in the Winter that the birds love.

You can see the thorns on the pyracanthus. Thats what it is, a lovely plant, but only deal with it wearing very protective gloves. Mrs Bouquet
