anyone know what this is?

It must have been in a pot of lilies that was here before we came. The lilies were transplanted and since got wrecked by the chooks and this turned up in it's place a couple of months ago. Look like some sort of campanula to me but I could be wrong. :)

HI AGAPANTHUS
NICE PICTURE THE PLANT IS PLATYCODRON GRANDIFLORUS
IT IS A PERENNIAL GROWING TO 600mm TALL X 300mm SPREAD. WAS AT ONE TIME GROWN IN EVERY FLOWER BORDER BUT CAN BE A LITTLE INVASIVE BUT NOT TO BAD DOES NOT LIKE TO BE DISTURBED & SHOULD NOT BE DIVIDED PROPAGETION IS ALLWAYS BY SEED

Thanks for that John....it was well and truly disturbed by the chooks, but perhaps a little of what they left behind them....(poo) helped to revive it!! ;)

No, Platycodon grandiflorus or bog standard balloon flower in English, periwinkle is another thing. :wink:

Looks nice. Think I will try growing it next year in the flower garden. Hope seeds are easy to come by.
