Surfinia Tumbelinas SummerPlants Not Flowering Reason ?
They seem to be greening well otherwise but there are virtually NO Flowers

I know this Summer been dreadful sun shine wise aparently they need high light levels to flower the only thing doing really well in my garden are the busy lizzies.

Will I need to invest in GrowLights Container Gardening and High Electricity Bills? :)

Any Advice Appreciated it will not be long till first frosts.

Thanks

Samantha

Hi Samantha, not sure where you are but my Surfinias and Petunias have all been dreadful this year too. When they do get flowers they only last until the next rains (nearly every day).
They really don't like cool wet summers like the one we are having. Mine all started to get mildewy too so I have ripped them all out and replaced them with , you've guessed it, Bizzy Lizzies!

Apparently some hot dry weather is on its way so maybe they will perk up.

Good luck

Mildew has devastated my garden this year the summer pansy the latest Surfinia Style Trailing Pansies too.

You cannot beat Buzzy Lizzies for performance with the current overcast summer we are currently having.
It just shows you need to select what you plant very very carefully indeed to cover all possibilities of variations in weather in the British Isles.

What diseases are Buzzy Lizzy Prone too.?

My local upp market American funded private hospital  recently planted Buzzy Lizzies in Week 3 July 2008
