Title: jcb rotavator
Post by: btibbs on February 01, 2015, 22:15
Hi everyone,  I have just been given a jcb prisma 37 rotavator from my uncle, it's not in a good way I have taken it to bit to clean it, I'm pretty sure the engine will work now but the problem is with the tilling blades they are  belt driven from the engine, a lever on the handle pulls it into gear and springs pull it out or vice versa - but I have no idea where these springs should be attached and whether they pull it in or out? Please someone help
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the info jezza, still can't find where the springs go, if anyone has got one of these machines I would appreciate a photo of these springs in situ

are they not similar to merry/ Templar tiller? Cable from bracket on pulley wheel which when you pull "clutch" Lever puts it into drive, 1 spring smaller one hooks under clutch lever through the small wholes, does that make help at all??

Thanks Gerry that does help a bit, but the main thing I need to know is where the 2 springs go at the other end, think they pull it back when you release the lever?
