I have a big old apple tree on the edge of my lotty and it overhangs a bit - marvelous spot to sit in the shade! It's dropping teeny, tiny apples all over the lotty. I quite like the look of them, rolling about amongst the veggies and assume they'll just melt into the soil and do it no harm - and maybe some good. But - now I'm thinking...can it do any harm to the soil or the plants? Surely not - unless they rot and spread some sort of disease. Should I be scooping them up and plonking them in the compost bin? Comments?

Always happens, it's the way a tree gets rid of the fruit it can't cope with.

Never fear, the small bits never affect anything, as they're just seedlings...0)

Leave them where they are, but yes, if you want, collect them and compost them! We mow ours!
