Chicken Cake!

No not a cake made of chicken - a cake for the chickens

I was sorting out the cupboard and found lots of dried fruit that was on its use by date so though I would give it to the birds, I soaked it in hot water to plump it up first then mixed it with some chopped nuts, plain flour, 6 duck eggs (not being wasteful I have a glut of them honest) and some vegetable oil, mixed it up and baked till cooked.  It made a lovely fruit cake and the birds loved it.  Next time I will add some seeds as I forgot to put them in.

I didn't add sugar as its not good for them and thought oil better than fat or marge.
