I noticed yesterday that my Hundreds and Thousands Tomato Plant which is in a hanging basket outdoors has black blotches on the stem where the leafs join. I only noticed this as the leaves were turning yellow but otherwise looking productive. They didn't have brown blotches on them so don't know if it's blight? Potatoes and other Tomatoes look okay. I did pull the plant out and it was very rootbound. Could this have anything to do with it or possibly the rainfall we've being having the past two weeks? :(

Could still be stem blight. Have you read all the advice below?

Another possibility could be canker.
