up until a few weeks ago my partner lived on cheese burgers and Irn Bru and the only exercise he got was moving the mouse across the mat and clicking  Since looking at this site and reading one of johns allotment books with me, there has been a dramatic transformation.  Last week he actually tried asparagus and ive found him on numerous occasions over the past few weeks digging and weeding in the garden. He may even give up the cheese burgers at some point but NEVER the Irn Bru.

Ah, takes me back to the other week when a plumber was checking my boiler and I was trying to organize some meat birds to rear from a local lady. I explained to him that we didn't want to buy from supermarkets and were being fussy about where our meat birds were coming from. He just shrugged and said "one person wont change anything". But lots of "one persons" added all up together will. I stopped shopping in Tesco about 4 years ago when I realised their buying power was taking over everything. I have been into a store with my Dad but only to use the loo and to get some free yeast! It's nice to hear of people doing stuff from themselves for a change. Nic.
