Finally sown garlic and elephant garlic. First plantings in new allotment. Very exciting. Hoping to get bed for the carrots prepared this week and some sort of a cloch on to warm it up.

I have sown-
Chillis (lots of different varities!)
Aubergines
Sweet peppers
Brussel Sprouts
Broad beans
Lettuces
Leeks
Tomatoes

I'm quite lucky though as we have a heated green house to bring everything on and quite a big cold frame to slow it all down after it has germinated!

One of the most exiting times of the growing year is looming for me, seeing a few trays start sprouting up!
Now its warming up a bit, what are you all sowing and where.
Last weekend i put in...
Tomatoes-Ferline,Gardeners Delight,Tigrella,Tumbling Tom, and Pineapple, Chillie-Habanero, Pepper-Californian Wonder, Celery-Giant Red. All planted in a propagator in a heated greenhouse at around 15 degrees.
Also
Leek-Musselburgh, Lyon prizetaker2, Sprouts-Montgomerie, And some sweet peas in a frost proof grow frame.
Gonna get busy when they all come up but we cant wait!

Have done:

Tomatoes, Peppers,  Chillis - Plastic bags.

Onions, Brassicas - cold greenhouse

Nothing now for a while, next will be leeks in a couple of weeks.

It's VERY important to take in mind locations and facilities, rather than make a generalisation.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Just curious DD - how do you sew in plastic bags - maybe I am being stupid but I just cannot picture this.

Thanks DD - in my mind I did not picture the green trays.  When I use I cover with old clear plastic fruit trays.
