Title: Computer Advice AGAIN, please
Post by: mrs bouquet on November 22, 2018, 19:33
Tonight something has popped up on my laptop, to do with windows 10, and is telling me I have 3 heavy risk, serious virus.   'Tapsnake'  'CronDNS' and Dubfishexe.    It then says to go to  System Keeper PC repair tool.

This of course, is all Greek to me.  But obviously I now feel worried.   Should I proceed on System Keeper for a clean-up, and if so will it cost me - or is it just a gimmick of some sort I should ignore.

Help - and thanks,  Mrs Bouquet

Ignore, it's a pop-up trying to get you to click through to another site.

Thanks.  This morning I have googled it, and it said it was just a scam to make one plough in and buy.
So many thanks for confirming this.  regards,   Mrs Bouquet

Just to check, do you have anti-virus software installed?

Yes, I have the all singing, all dancing, AVG.  Knowing that I had that, was what made me stop and think - Hallo !!  But thanks for asking.  regards,   Mrs Bouquet
