Re- using pickling vinegar
« on: January 31, 2010, 16:00 »
Can pickling vinegar be used more than once?I pickled a few jars of onions before  Christmas with great results and im gonna do a few more tonight& i was wondering if its possible to add the "spent" vinegar from used jars  to the fresh pickling mix(seeing as its loaded with flavour).

 Cheers
 Tel.

Thanks for that pointer. I have been using  the spent vinegar as a condiment on chips, seafood etc &its excellent as a starter for chilli vinegar.
  Thanks again
