If you get any bread and Butter Pudding recipe....dont know who does the best but I think its Gary Rhodes.

Instead of dried or mixed fruit...use layers of Mincemeat....sweet stuff.

This makes the pudding great.

I thought of it but I bet   someone will have thought of it first.

... try cooking it in the microwave ... brilliant!

The ONLY thing I ever cook in my microwave is bread and butter pudding ... and most people who try it are gobsmacked that it's been nuked.  Only problem is you need to eat it all that day ... * of a job but someone's got to do it.

... day old nuked bread and butter pudding is that it is no longer edible ... decorative tiling for your roof, yes, mending that hole in the fence, yes ... getting a spoon in ... no, no, no

First year we had a micro (they were coal powered in them days) I decided to do the Christmas pud... 40 minutes should be enough I thought.

There I was with my black and decker circular saw, trying to cut a slice. Eventually sold it to the navy as a cannon ball :)

When I  make bread and butter pudding I spread the bread with the butter and home-made marmalade - scrummy :D

You can also do the same type of thing with brioche or pain au chocolat if you're feeling a bit "posh"  ;)

Glad you enjoyed it :)

When I make it I have to eat it all myself. Piggery can only help you lose weight as part of a calorie controlled diet  :D
