It hail stoned on saturday and as soon as it finished my two youngest hens were out eating the hail like mad. I've seen them do this before. Does anyone else's chickens eat hail stones?
-
No - mine run like h*ll for their run as soon as it rains. The hailstones must be like ice lollies for chickens. :)
-
Mine like them as well as frost and snow. :)

What would your chickens have made of these hailstones? They wrote my car off >:(

Thanks Mum, I tried the usual Youtube + the link that Snowdrops had but it did not work.
It is a different link but of the same storm. ;)

Oh Thanks Mum & ANHBUC. I forgot to check it worked & went to bed. Not my garden but yes the same storm. Over the last few weeks we have been having hail & each time I worry that they might get bigger.
-
OMG they'd have had a bit of a job swallowing those!!
That garden looked lovely before the storm, such a shame.
