He (or she) is nesting in one of my compost bins, and I have seen him trundling around for two evenings now.
I've never seen a live one until I saw this chap, and didn't realise they grew so big! (He is a good 9 or 10 inches long)

We have one that visits the garden but i`ve not seen it so far this year, just the little messages it leaves behind. :D
Urchin poop is less trouble than slugs are. :D :D

I love your photos. You are so lucky having hedgehogs, we never see any here, I'm told its because we have got lots of badgers and they kill the hedgehogs.
Just think of all the slugs and snails they will eat for you. Do please post some more pictures of him/her if you get the chance.

Wonderful! :)

How lovely. I have been lucky to have hedgehogs in the past and do miss them where we are. There are too many foxes and badgers here so haven't seen a hoggie for a while.

Hedgehogs can't get into our garden, but I often see them on the way to work in the mornings. There are a lot of badgers around here, and I have seen a few foxes. Unfortunately the hedgehog I saw today was dead on someone's drive....they still haven't moved it! :(
