A good excuse / reason for a new greenhouse
« on: April 07, 2011, 00:44 »
“Someone” has taken over the conservatory and filled it with chairs and fabric, stuffing and springs!

The little bit of space I once had in the conservatory for tidy seed germination and a tiny propagator has vanished below under-cloth, clamps, web-stretchers, trestles, staple guns and an air-compressor!

So “Someone” suggested I move my lean-to greenhouse from the side to the back of the garage to catch more sun.

I had suggested that years ago but the response was a definite “No… it’d ruin my flower bed!” And now is my big chance to leave the old (not so sunny) greenhouse where it is and get another one.

If I dither for too long I might find “Someone” has changed her mind or begun to realise the flower bed will have to move a little or vanish altogether.

Help please…What make of lean-to greenhouse would you recommend? I need something robust.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.... appreciated.

I guess I'm just dithering as I've found a couple I like the look of:

Robinsons

Halls

All I need to do is convince myself which will be the best value for money /choice, measure accurately to check for height and then order it.

Shame to see another patch of flower-bed disappear but we can always shorten the lawn a bit.

My OH thinks the old 10'x4' lean-to greenhouse would be a good place for a winter time washing-line so I really will have to invest in a new lean-to greenhouse in a sunny spot round the other side.  ;)

They both look very nice to me.  :)

I have a lean-to greenhouse and if i could change anything i'd have a door at both ends as it gets sooo hot, altho i have vents the whole length.  But that could be to do with it facing direct south at the top of a bank.  Could roast meat in there in the summer

I've just bought a greenhouse for grandson from The Greenhouse People and found them a very nice company to deal with. :)
