my chicken is egg bound .last night she layed her first egg it was very soft and then to day i had to put her in warm water and help her lay the two eggs in side her .she looks a little happy now but still not her self.what can i do to stop this happening .

Have your birds got access to oyster shell?
What are you feeding them?

It might just be that it's because it's her first time that she's having problems and once she gets into the swing of it all will be fine
You could add some limestone powder to her feed for some extra calcium, you can get this at most horsey feed places it's sold for foals

Were the two she laid today soft also ?

THANK YOU FOR GETTING BACK TO ME.I HAVE ONLY HAD THE HENS FOR THREE WEEKS AND WAS VERY UPSET TO SEE HER LOOKING SO SAD .
NO THE TWO THAT I HELPED HER TO LAY WERE JUST LIKE THE OTHER CHICKENS EGGS.I WILL TRY THAT TODAY AND SEE IF IT WILL HELP HER.SHE HAS BEEN WALKING OUT WITH THE OTHER HENS BUT STILL NOT VERY HAPPY .

As vember asked, what is your feeding regime ?

It may be that she's getting too much fatty food and not enough minerals and vitamins as well as calcium.
