They tend to go yellow when they are over mature i.e. the seeds have matured in the fruit.  Harvesting early stops this and produces more fruits

the fruits are only small, about 1 1/2 inches long and are going yellow as are the bottom leaves, i am feeding them with tomato food twice a week. i have taken 3 full fruits but there are not any to follow. i know somewhere i am doing something wrong but dont know what it is although i am sure it is something to do with watering either too much or too little, HELP

I would suggest that you could be over feeding them perhaps

Does it say twice a week on the bottle?

The plants, I find, will only support a certain number of fruit at a time, any excess it will let dry and drop. So as long as you have some cukes setting and growing to full size, then there is nothing wrong.

it says to feed every 5 days, would it be worth holding back on the water for a couple of days and then water sparingly ?

Hold back on the feed, then use as the instructions say and keep the soil moist at all times but not waterlogged.

I would sugest that these fruits are imature fruits that have not been polinated.

I have had them the same, they grow behind the flower to around 1 to 1,1/2 inc long then if un polinated go yellow and eventually drop off.

The bottom leaves have done their job too, so as an old leaf they now yellow as the plant draws the goodness back in so new growth can continue along withe feed from the roots.

Has the plant got good growth at the top, green leaves and good growing tips?

im growing the F1 cucumber and didnt think it needed pollenating, the top of the plant is growing well with fresh fruits growing, i am just worried that these might turn yellow too
