Title: bottled and preserved fruits

hi can anyone tell me how to preserve and bottle whole fruits?
i remember my great aunt doing this when i stayed on her farm many years ago and we had fruits all year round.
thought i might give it a go if can find info as have lots of pears which i'd like to do.

Hi

I did Pears in Rum yesturday, just peeled them, cooked for just 5 minutes in sugared water, put the Pears in the kilner jar , then keeped boiling until syrup was thicker, put over and sealed when cool. I added Rum but you do not have too.

I hvae done this with a lot of fuits and they store well, but do not over cook.
