An allotment holder, on the same allotment as me has this

when I first started on the allotment, i was chatting to him and he said it was broken, i told him i would have a look at it for him, anyway in the end i got it up and started, but not running, the brass cog on the axle was sheared and broken, I manages after a lot of mucking about got the Chinese manufactures to email me with a price for the part, $20 cheap enough, but you have to pay for the postage, OK I thought email them back for the postage price $200!!! I told them I could get a return ticket and pick it up myself for that, so forget them, got in touch with the importer, he wanted £80.... still a heavy price, a new machine is only about £320 from them, everyone is out to rip you off nowadays, no wonder people get no return business

Did you try an engineers  workshop? they might make one for you.

one of my plot neighbours had that self same one on sunday.
Next time I see him I'll get the phone number of where he got his as he said they kept spares.
