ventilation
« on: February 05, 2008, 08:32 »
I have just made a small hen house for four or five hens, the size is 48" long, 36" deep and 30" high with external nest boxes and it stands on four legs 20"high.
How should I ventiate it? Should I drill 1" holes along the top of each wall, one 6" square grilled hole or make one of the doors out of mesh? Any sugestions would be a great help.

We've got 2 mesh windows on our big henhouse (but it is BIG!) and 3 pop holes, but we were still having condensation probs, so Munty told us to drill half inch holes.  (1 inch is big enough for mice to get in)

Then on the smaller shed, we have a mesh vent that goes right along the top of the front of the house
