Is it really needed for small amounts of hens? Is there an alternative? If not what product would people recommend?
If you do things well, do them better. Be daring, be first, be different, be just.

Ivermectin is not actualy licenced for chickens but you can read about it here

Do have a look at the worming article in the Poultry information setion too.

There are natural alternatives, and you can carry on eating the eggs.

verm-x aggy.  It's all herbal but I'm not 100% certain it treats lung worm.

Herbal medications are not necessarily kinder to the animals though.

Have you ever eaten too much rhubarb

Just to add to that, you will struggle to find someone who will sell you a non-poultry wormer "off-label" ie not licensed for poultry.

Just bought some flubenvet from a licensed merchant.

Had to fill a form in for it.

Forgot to buy grapes. Bum. Have to thaw out some raspberries instead.

And bought some straw for the nest box instead of shavings. Gonna wait for the complaining to start.

Flubenvet is a licensed poultry wormer available from vets, agricultural merchants (registered with RPSGB & prescribed by a suitably qualified person), and online.

Your name and address should be recorded as well as the batch code and best before date of the product.
