Title: Wood Preservative
Post by: Bodger on September 30, 2008, 07:26
I have a day off today and because the forecast has given out lousy weather, I'm going to make some bird nesting boxes. I'll be using some nice untreated  recycled pine shelves from a shop display that I've dismantled.
When I've done them, I want to treat them on the outside with a non toxic wood preserver, has anyone got any suggestions as to what there is out there in the shops that would be suitable ?

That sounds a lovely job to be doing on a miserable gray day like today  :D  There's bound to be some paint in your local painte shoppe.
We have a brill one and I can go in and ask for whatever and it's always seemingly within reach  :D   She also supplies the entire allotment population with pooh. Great shop  :D

this looks like what you're after
