This is my fourth year of growing sweetcorn.
The plants were/are lovely, but a little short.

The corn cobs are poking out of their wrappings, and seem to be in multiples clustered on one plant.

Looks like something out of alien!

Anyone had this before

My Incredible did something similar(?) and the same thing (different variety) is happening to a few this year.

Some of the top tassels grow tall, but when the leaves open, they are part tassels and part cobs  :blink:
Same thing in reverse on some of the cobs...instead of corn and silks, half of the cob is male tassels. It's all very strange
