Im beginning to feel like a proper gardener - today I actually planted something in the ground ,garlic! Ive planned out the two raised beds we've made, put my bean canes in to guide me.  I've sown sweetpeas, geraniums, peppers, cucumbers,sunflowers, french beans, anemones, nasturtiums and my pots are busy chitting in egg boxes.  Its all a bit random i think, but I did read on hear to plant what i like to eat and what I like to look at!

You're wise to only plant what you enjoy. Last year I planted anything & everything I could, which is silly when space is limited - it leaves less room for the important things! This year is strictly controlled (or rather, I am  )

It's lovely when it starts to get going, isn't it! I'm trying to concentrate on stuff that is allegedy easy to grow. I say 'allegedly' as my growing skills are more than a tad limited! The other factors I'm bearing in mind is to grow veg that isn't often available in the shops and is way, way nicer when truly fresh. So I'm trying out several tomato varieties, different peas, beans, carrots of varying colours, summer squashes, courgettes of various colours... as well as various potatoes, herbs, chillies, sweet peppers, chard, kales etc. I'm trying a little bit of various things to see how I get on.
