is it too late to start Musselburg leeks from seed? are they frost hardy ?

leeks are very hardy and can be left in the ground all winter, it probably is too late for big leeks but you would probably get some baby ones, its definately worth a try. all you have to loose is a few seeds and a little time.

if i left them in the ground all winter woudl they pick up again when it warms up in spring ?

They do, but it's a bit late, probably will be early summer leeks or might run to seed, but as said, not much to lose. Try and tell. :)
