Good afternoon everyone, crackin' bit o' rain overnight, but not a lot to follow on!

Leeks,  why oh why do they grow so differently?  Same soil, same light levels so why when most are pencil size are some still spindly hardly anything at all?

Ours are nearly up to DD's size, but we don't have anywhere to plant them!

I never worried about biro refills, they always came true in the end, especially the late ones!

(Just as an aside, a 'DD' size is something Digger Dave described, not an underwear firm's description...;0)

Not really sure Goosers, as each year, the gardening polo shirts seem to shrink by a couple of inches...

I'd revert to calling you 'GG', but that may be a size too far!

(PS, got the leeks in the other day after the first row of new spuds came out, so, despite the dog sitting on them daily, they have a chance to get going at last)!

Sock and leek pie - mmmmm! Maybe we should start a new trend by wearing odd socks.

As you know, one can always tell a chap who's wearing odd socks, that he'll have an identical pair at home...;0)

I've just finished feeding the leeks through kitchen paper rolls strengthened with toilet tubes.  Some come through the top and some don't.  I'll be watching their progress.
