Title: ill chicken

hey all, i had a chick die last night, and now another has the same symptons, it was born on the 24th day, i dosnt eat drink and its all over the place,,, iam force feeding it egg york at the moment, everytime i feed it, its neck seems to bulge, its standing up but still hasnt really found its feet yet, ive kept it away from the rest, can anyone help please

Don't know what's wrong with it, but doesn't sound good.  How old is the chick?  Their own yolk which should have gone back inside the chick at hatching should keep it alive and healthy for up to 5 days.

If I've had chicks that don't eat or drink, I've started off by dipping their beaks gently into the water.  But you have to be careful that no water gets into its nostrils, as it can drown if the water gets into its lungs.

To give them a little energy and stop them getting de-hydrated, I'd dissolve a little sugar and salt in a drop of warm water, and if they don't drink it, I had some pippettes that I could drip drops in their mouths.

If they perk up a bit, then I'd soak a little chick crumb in water and give them that.  Make it very watery.
