dont ferget folks stop cutting ya sparrowgrass on the 21st june to giove it time to grow its ferns n recover . lime them after ya clear the rubbish away come spring .leave them standing over winter to protect the root stock .....currently cut over 4000 bunches from my field . all nice n tasty :wink:

Hey, welcome back munty, you may have noticed we've missed ya!!!!
4,000 bunches???? Wow, I'd like some asparagus, but as we never seem to stay anywhere long enough to harvest them, well.... it's not worth planting any!!!!!

Growing all that asparagus, I will be picking your brains, we are preparing a large bed to plant next year.
This year we are forking out weeds and repeating this again and again , cos we dont like weedkillers.
come the autumn should we dig in some manure .
Where's the best place to get hold of plants ?
