Daft childish earworms
« on: September 29, 2021, 10:35 »
Caught a snatch of "Baa baa black sheep" whilst flicking through the channels yesterday and now can't get the damn tune out of my head. Anyone else suffer from these inane earworms?

Over the weekend a gaggle of trucks went passed with one of the air horns playing the baby shark tune....  I can't shift it. * Warning * if you haven't heard it count yourself lucky and don't google it.

I always wake up with an earworm which plagues me all day and have no idea where it comes from. Sometimes it's a tune I've made up or something I've heard, but they're always the same ones with the odd exception. "Where is love" from Oliver is one and it's rather annoying - ha!
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Our trouble is that we always make up stupid words to old rhymes, so the original words are forgotten...

One of the worst is 'Little dog, dog, dog', to that ridiculous song 'Agadoo', by some long-forgotten glam group...

Even JRT gets fed up with it...

I always wake up with an Ear-worm.   They are rubbish, then they stay with me forever, ie:  the floral dance, only know the first line, then make it up !    It goes on like it all the time, and I sing out loud as well 'specially when I am working in the garden.   Somethings I make up are quite rude   Mrs Bouquet
Birds in cages do not sing  -  They are crying.

It's always good fun to go around either whistling or humming 'earworms' hoping to affect others!  Aren't I naughty?

Cheers,  Tony.

My favourite to install in people's ears is the Beatles  'Penny Lane', the landlady of my local hostelry used to hate me!!!

Cheers,  Tony.
