Don’t know if I’ll want dinner tonight as I’m going to an 80th birthday tea party at 3. But there’s a steak with my name on it  if I do 😊

Last night was pasta in sorrel (first proper crop for the year!) sauce with sliced sausage (left over from a bbq).

Tonight is pizza - I missed out at the weekend!  I found another box of hm tom sauce in the freezer when I defrosted ::), so hm sauce, motz, anchovies on one and sauce, mushrooms and the last of the sausage on the other.

In northern France, they use a creamy cheese (creme fraiche?) base instead of tomato.  Now I really have run out of tom sauce, I must investigate.

Sorry to be out of step  :D - mine was the other half of the venison sausage casserole, with rice and runners.

Tonight I am going to cut into the last marrow in store.     Stuffed rings (pork and apple) on buttered charlottes, crunchy cheesy topping and spoon standing.

Last night was turkey and mushroom in white wine sauce in a pie - I was very proud of how neatly it turned out on the plate. I might be getting the hang of this pastry stuff.  With roast veg (pots, parsnip, squash).  There is a smaller one, plus the leftover veg for during the week when I have to leave OH to it.

Tonight is coq au vin (okay, chicken thighs in the last of the red wine box, with finely chopped mushroom stalks and onion in the sauce, and shallots from the freezer) with rice and marrow chunks steamed in butter.

CBA fairy was banned last night I see!

Last night was the last of the marrow for this year - stuffed with beef mince etc and topped with cheesy breadcrumbs, all on buttery sliced charlottes.  Never mind, this year's are showing their heads in the propogator.

Tonight is squash (they need using too) and potato gratin, with runners on the side.

Pork in a spicy tomato sauce with beans and veg a.k.a. the last of the leftover roast from the weekend, borlotti beans from the freezer and a fridge clean-out of veg in a tomato sauce.

It was pretty convincing as a planned meal considering its origins
