As this is our 1st  seed year pkts of all manner of salads have been sprinkled into pots of all sizes,we have recently had a healthy growth of "mixed salads" pop up but the rocket leaves
look more like a sieve with hundreds of small holes in them.

I have read that the flea beetle is responsible and the suggested remedy is to fleece them.

Q....Can you purchase "round" shaped fleece to slip over/around a pot foliage or is it just a case
of cutting a traditional rectangular fleece to size and clip it down somehow.

I did google this Q ...without much response.

Cheers

I've never seen shaped fleece, only the huge bags they sell for people to overwinter tender palms n stuff.
It's cheaper to get an ordinary fleece from the poundshop and cut it yourself.

word of warning.....sometimes flea beetle are already in the soil, so covering makes no difference.......I've had them under enviromesh before now :(

You can buy fleece that's tube shaped.

I'll see if I can find a link.

I just drape it over loosely then tuck it in under the pot/tray or with bricks or bottles of water etc.  I like enviromesh out on the plot though as it's far more robus and the pigeons can't rip it as they do fleece
