Lidl bargains

I've just been to Lidl today, loads of flower and veg seeds for 49p or 69p, so I got some carrot, radish and  iceberg lettuce.
I also got a hop plant, supposed to be an excellent climber, really good healthy plant - £1.49. Plus a small (but very healthy) Lemon tree - £2.99.
I picked up one of their catalogues and they are getting tons of gardening stuff in next week.

Definitely worth a look.
First timer, NOT enjoying the backache anymore!

You were robbed!  I went too, bought an olive, fig, orange and lemon tree for £1.99 each, but they'll be about 10 years before they produce apparently!

My local LIDL (in Leatherhead) now has a much wider range of fruit treees at £3.99, including

APPLES
Cox Orange Pippin   Jonagold   Bramley (cooker)
PEARS
Beurre Hardy   Conference
PLUM
Opal
CHERRY
Stella

Many look in excellent condition, strong rootstocks and scions with unbroken feathers -  in much better condition than Wilkinson at £4.99 where many of the feathers were broken and rootstocks scarred

their fruit trees seem fine to me. I got some last year cos I want part of my plot to be an orchard (don't tell the council  8) )  The Cox fruited but I took them off as I think you're meant to in their first three years.  Going to get some more today  :D
