Bottlebrush cuttings
« on: April 23, 2011, 19:58 »
I was really fed up when I noticed my bottlebrush had died during the winter, especially as my late father bought it for me.  :(
Today I got OH to cut it back to the ground, in case there was a chance that it would spring back to life.
To my horror, once it was cut I noticed there were a few remaining green shoots.
I tore them off and have put them in water for the moment.
Do you think I should use rooting powder and give them a go at starting them off again?  I got about 6 pieces.
I'm not young enough to know everything!
