onions
« on: May 05, 2023, 13:27 »
I've set quite a lot of onion seed growing in modules this time and there growing very well in the modules but as they get bigger will it be best to pot them on before planting them out as other years we have sowed the seed in deep trays then pulled them out singly for panting out in rows any  replies most welcome

Are they singly sown or multi sown? Either way I’d just plant out when they’ve got a good rootball

I feed onions when they are in modules and find that keeps them looking good until they are ready to plant out.

What they get depends on where they are.  If it is early in the year and they are on the window ledge, they get Baby Bio.  If they are in the greenhouse, they get whatever liquid feed I have around.
