Compost
« on: February 25, 2010, 21:30 »
Today, ive managed to persuade my work to put all the kitchen waste and teabags etc in a separate composting bin - and let me have the resulting compost. Result! :D

Nothing quite so grand, but I have a bin bag by my desk and ask that everyone put their teabags, 'nana skins etc in... I take it home every friday,

They still think I'm strange, but no one turned their noses up at the free veg last year!  ::) :D

I've put a small bin in our kitchen and take it home twice a week. I also collect pallets and the plastic containers that fruit etc come in.
I allow certain select people to have veg.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Dunno why I didn't think of it before! I got one of the bins that you add bokashi bran to break it down faster, only 12 quid at the moment from tesco direct - and I should be able to claim it back on expenses! (no, I'm not an MP!)
