easier to get on your knees, again spread em wide, corner them then they only have 2 options left or right, and your brains alot bigger than theres.
we can plant a house, we can build a tree

if it wont stay calm in your arms. grab both feet in one hand and hang upside down. if it tries to pull its head up, gently push it down again with your other hand.

sounds cruel, but mine seem to like it

i always hold them this way to spray with mite spray, lets you get into all their nooks and crannies

Thanks Babe.

That's the sort of reason I want to get them used to it for.

Can't do much with them when they're trying to flap about and take your fingers off.

I'll go and have a try in a bit. Sun's getting low so they should be preening soon. Need to get them used to me as much as the other way round. And I take some getting used to !

just grab and hang, if they flap, push their head down and they'll just flop.

Vini, vidi, vici

Did the deed and they were all fairly docile except for Mrs brown (she's brown and thinks she's Queen Victoria) who flapped about so I placed her down but repeated it just to show her she can be got anytime (you see, I am cleverer than them....I AM cleverer than them).

I'll try the leg hang next time. Best to walk then run I think.

Thanks folks. It's a lot better than a few sketches in a book which are completely nonsense anyway.
