Title: Artichoke wine
Post by: ARPoet on September 16, 2015, 14:46
Last winter saw a bumper crop of (f)Artichokes so i persuaded my sister to turn some into wine. She found a recipe and set the stuff fermenting.
I now have 4 bottles of the stuff. Its light in colour and very sweet, more like a sweet Sherry.
I quite like it.

We have a bed down't allotment being taken over by the stuff.  On your recommendation we might give it a try.  Any views on which type of yeast?   Cheers,  Tony. ;)

Are we talking Jerusalem artichokes?  Wine could be an excellent way of avoiding the expected side effects perhaps? :nowink:
