I'm growing, well, trying to grow, Tasman dwarf beans, which should produce "masses of smooth, straight .....pods"
Mine are now about 3 ins long, but they are all curling round.
Anybody got any idea what I'm doing wrong please.

The first ones often do this. It may be that when they touch a leaf or stem it makes them curl. Usually the later ones are straighter.

Wether they are curled or straight, they will still taste the same.

In this week's Amateur Gardening mag there's an article about stem eelworm causing bendy beans. If your beans are seriously bendy see if you can have a look at this article, and i'm not talking banana shaped beans i mean seriously bendy they look horrible

Mine are more like bananas, just curled round a bit.
They do taste good though, pulled one off and ate it there and then.
