Title: hip operation 3 weeks on
Post by: LILLILEAF on June 18, 2018, 10:21
Well its s a few weeks after op to renew the last hip replaement,i do the exercises 3 times a day there are about 10 different ones, this is done 3 times aday aleast.
Distance i walk each day i am up tp about 700 metres doing more each day its painful going but i am sure it will be worth it i hope.
I walk round the garden 2-3 times aday, also able to do some watering in the green house,my husband is watering the veg patch when needed,he also is cutting the grass :)he's not happy doing it but it saves money getting some one in to do it.
Every thing is looking good so far,i am off for a few more weeks of recovery then back to work see how i get on.
So hers to more walking and exercises to make me stronger and fitter, only one set back so far, infection in the operated leg from the foot to half way up the calf, here goes another dose of antibiotics :nowink:.

Hi, You ae doing so well, many people I know would still just be sitting around and moaning.  Following the physio's rules and your own common sense really does work, doesn't it.   Just one suggestion,  maybe you could tell your OH, that cutting the grass is the only thing that is still soooo painful  :D :D :D :D Then you could keep that going permanently       Sorry to hear about the infection, hope its clearing up.   Congrats, Mrs Bouquet

Alan, up the road, had his hip done and he said it was painful to walk with until all healed. He is 70+ and does lots of gardening.
Keep up the good work

I am impressed by your progress Lillileaf, and well done to you. Those exercises are excellent aren't they? Ad grass cutting should be off the list for a long while yet
