Everlasting sweet pea seeds
« on: August 23, 2011, 21:04 »
I know it's a bit late but after socking for 24 hours I have planted everlasting sweet pea seeds(white pearl .I love them .The flowers seem to glow in the twilight)The sowing instructions say to plant a quarter of an inch deep but not to exclude light as it helps germination which is a bit of a contradiction I think. What should I do?

At one time sowing instructions told you to put seed trays in a dark place, or cover them with paper till they germinated, but they've now realised that some seeds need to grow towards light. So still cover the seed but not the seed tray ;)

Thank you I'll do it in the morning.I'd played it 50/50 .I've covered half with soil and placed the other half in a lovely little hole uncovered.I'll put them to bed in the morning.
